Stanford Dish Hiking Trailhead

https://maps.app.goo.gl/S3jJrEci4Hfzo3NM7?g_st=am

I was born here πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ& even though I've been hiking here for years, actually decades, I love the nature and the animals so I always take pictures even though I've been hiking for many years here it never gets old. Did I say I've been hiking here for many years, even decades?

But one day I was taking pictures of the turkeys and some foreign-born hikers approached me as if they were old timers on the dish who had seen so many animals and were non plussed. And they were condescendingly amused at my photographic interest in the turkeys

And then they treated me as if I was hiking there for the first time because I was taking pictures of the turkeys.πŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒ

Hey, I could be hiking here for the millionth time and still love seeing the turkeys! And still find it fun to take videos and post them on YouTube πŸ“Ί

So One of the foreign-borns decided to take the maternal approach towards me (even though I'm actually older than her) & said "be careful on the side of the trail there's sometimes snakes."
Really?! 🐍🐍🐍

I've only seen about 100 snakes on the dish since I've been hiking here (for decades ) ( tarantulas too, even a dead rat). But thanks for the warning, my new mom. πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜†

I've probably been hiking here longer than they've been alive but they're treating me as if I'm a newcomer in my own country πŸ˜†πŸ˜πŸ˜„YCMTU
