IRONY: we who hike get excited about seeing birds of prey, but
....but oddly enough, these same birds of prey (bop) (hawks, etc) can. Often be seen on poles next to the freeway. On New Years Day,driving from Pasadena I saw at least three BOP's ! And that's the norm! These birds love surveying the freeway sitting safely on poles above us.I only wish I could stop & take a picture.
